Okay okay… I realize that getting healthy is what a LOT of people focus their resolutions on, but hear me out. I have always had a passion for living a healthy(ish) but that doesn’t always necessarily mean that I follow through all the time. Thanks to Babbleboxx and their Resolutions boxx, I’ve gotten to try a bunch of new products to help me reach my goals.
When was the last time you took a full day just for YOU? These days, we’re accustomed to using our PTO days for traveling to weddings and bachelorette parties or dedicating Saturdays and Sundays to birthday brunches and errands. We run ourselves down without realizing it, and that’s why it’s crucial to take a self care day!

The year is 2018 (almost 2019 but I refuse to believe it). We all know we shouldn’t drink excessively but we usually do anyway, we spend almost every waking moment staring at our phones and computer screens, our hair is all fried from curling wands, and there are more vitamins on the shelves than Fast and Furious franchise movies. It is all a bit overwhelming.
Everyone always stresses the importance of being *vulnerable* when it comes to blogging and social media. While I’m not really one for oversharing or joining in on a pity party (in real life, or on Instagram), I do think it’s important to recognize that sometimes shit gets real. And in October, shit got real for me.
Done is better than good.
I recently devoured Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear* by Elizabeth Gilbert (like, in 4 hours total) and it got me thinking about this blog, my career, my passions, and what I was choosing to spend my time on. I’m an undeniably curious person, and I love to learn, try and create new things. The wish list in my head of “what I want to try/do/see/experience/start/make/write about/etc.” goes on and on forever, but in most cases, I attach an “I’ll do this someday when I actually have time to dedicate to it” footnote to said list and keep movin’ along.
Well, January 2018, it was nice knowing ya. I feel like I haven’t even had time to THINK about making resolutions, and already this month is gone just like that. But in general, I’m one of those people who is always trying to get the most out of life, especially when it comes to health and wellness. I’ve always been into little tricks to up my self-care game, and I want to continue into the new year. I mean, who DOESN’T want to feel their best all of the time? Answer: no one.
